Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a briefing that the United States has no right to interfere in bilateral relations between China and Russia, and Beijing will not agree with pressure from Washington.

The diplomat noted that the United States not only supplies lethal weapons to Ukraine, but also violates the provisions of three Sino-American joint communiqués by supplying advanced weapons to Taiwan.

Mao Ning stressed that China is actively promoting peace talks and a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis.

Earlier, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said that China should decide for itself whether to help Russia in the conflict in Ukraine, taking into account the “real costs” that Beijing will face in case of helping Moscow.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also warned Beijing of the consequences if arms were supplied to Moscow.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation Army launched a special military operation in Ukraine.

Acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said that the Russian Armed Forces are approaching Vuhledar from three directions at once: from the south, southwest and west. The head of the DPR stressed that “the process is not going fast.”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in turn, said that the situation in Donbass is getting tougher. According to Zelensky, a very difficult situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is developing in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and Vugledar, as well as in Limansky and other directions.
