While Bangladeshi law enforcement and intelligence agencies are looking for contacts and supporters of a cyberterrorism, extortion and crime racket named ‘Nagorik TV’, reporters of BLiTZ have already identified few of the prime cohorts of ‘Nagorik TV’ in Bangladesh, who are actively involved in spreading anti-Bangladesh contents of this notorious entity on social media.

According to our reporters, some of these activists and contacts of ‘Nagorik TV’ are involved in peddling drugs, street-robbery, abduction, contract killing and other types of criminal activities, while most of them are also maintaining connections with terrorist and militancy groups in Bangladesh.

Meanwhile internationally acclaimed anti-militancy journalist and editor of BLiTZ, Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury has already notified Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police with specific information and evidence about few of the individuals who are maintaining deeper connections with ‘Nagorik TV’ and helping this anti-Bangladesh cyberterrorist entity in spreading each of its contents to thousands of people in the country.

It may be mentioned here that, recently ‘Nagorik TV’ has published several contents targeting key leaders of Awami League as well as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and members of her family. It also has been running vile propaganda against BLiTZ editor Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury and he and his newspaper have been exposing criminal activities of ‘Nagorik TV’ and its kingpins namely Nazmus Saquib and Tito Rahman.

According to mass-media circle in Bangladesh, Tito Rahman alias Mustafizur Rahman Tito alias Tito hails from Itgaon residential area in Dinajpur district in Bangladesh. He is one of the prime accused in the serial bomb blast case of August 17, 2005. Notorious jihadist outfit Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh (JMB), which later rebranded as Ansar Al Islam by becoming franchise of Al Qaeda was behind this series bomb blasts. Tito Rahman is a member of Ansar Al Islam and key accomplice of BNP’s fugitive mini-boss Tarique Rahman and kingpin of Harkatul Jihad, Maulana Abdus Salam. It may be mentioned here that, Tarique Rahman assigned Harkatul Jihad for launching grenade attack on a rally of Awami League on August 21, 2005 with the nefarious agenda of assassinating Sheikh Hasina.

According to a media note issued by the US Embassy in Bangladesh, the US authorities have announced reward of US$5 million for information on the fugitive kingpins of Ansar Al Islam.

Earlier, it was reported in BLiTZ that Nazmus Saquib and Tito Rahman have been threatening internationally acclaimed anti-militancy journalist and editor of BLiTZ Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, while according to information, this gang of criminals recently have teamed-up with a cousin of Interpol-wanted terror-funder Shahid Uddin Khan. It is further learnt that Shahid Uddin Khan has paid BDT 500,000 to Tito Rahman and Nazmus Saquib to run vile propaganda against  BLiTZ and its editor for the “crimes” of exposing criminal activities of a number of cyberterrorists who are continuing nefarious propaganda against Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, ruling Awami League and several esteemed individuals of the country.

It may be further mentioned that Shahid Uddin Khan has instructed Tito and Saquib to prepare false reports against Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury based on information provided by his cousin sister in Dhaka.

In the defamatory post on the website and social media pages of ‘Nagorik TV’ this notorious crime gang wrote:

“Why Shoaib is not in prison? Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, who is guilty of various crimes like espionage for foreign countries, including Israel; molestation of women, trying to grab property of his blood relative; and defaming people’s character through dubious portal, etc. How and with whose help Shoaib was released from the sentence? Stay tuned to know. Nagorik TV special report is coming!”

Following receipt of threat message from Nazmus Saquib’s Telegram number +1-251-643-3554, BLiTZ has already brought the matter to the attention of law enforcement and intelligence agencies in the US. It may be mentioned here that ‘251’ is a city code of Alabama in the United States. Earlier on October 7, 2022 at 09:58 am, an individual called our Special Correspondent from a regular mobile phone number +44-20-8616-5694 and claimed to be Tito Rahman, the infamous extortionist of the ‘Nagorik TV’ crime racket. Tito, who does not have any journalistic background fled Bangladesh when his name came up as a member of a militancy outfit.

In the message sent from Telegram to BLiTZ editor’s mobile number, extortionist Nazmus Saquib wrote: “Mr. Shoeb Chowdhury, this is Nazmus Saquib (Nagorik TV), I am giving you last warning to remove all the false and defamatory articles that you wrote against me & Nagorik TV. Otherwise we will expose every detail of your butpari”.

The above Telegram message once again proves the notoriety of these criminals and how they are manufacturing false stories targeting various individuals including pro-Bangladesh forces such as BLiTZ and its editor.

Nazmus Saquib sought asylum in the United States proclaiming himself as a gay. But later it was revealed that he has two wives – one in Bangladesh and another in Canada, while he has been forcing girls and women towards sexual relations, making porn videos and selling those to a number of porn sites. In Bangladesh, he was associated as a part-time stringer with the now-defunct English-language daily newspaper The Independent. He resides in the Palm Beach area in Florida. Saquib got addicted to drugs during his student life at Ideal School and later Notre Dame College in Dhaka. He also was an active member of the student front of pro-jihadist Jamaat-e-Islami.

One of Nazmus Saquib’s wives who lives in Bangladesh claims, her husband is a drug addict and pervert, who was accused of having illicit sexual relations with a large number of girls and women since his student life. She said, Saquib also is a diehard member of the student front of Jamaat-e-Islami and after seeking asylum in the US with false declaration, Saquib has been running anti-Bangladesh vile propaganda as well as blackmailing and extortion through ‘Nagorik TV’.

The report further said: One of the victims of this crime racket is the owner of the country’s largest business conglomerate. According to information, Sakib-Titu nexus tried to extort US$600,000 from this businessman through blackmailing.

Nazmus Saquib and Tito Rahman’s ‘Nagorik TV’ had earlier provided massive coverage to an INTERPOL wanted convicted fugitive named Shahid Uddin Khan.

According to the information Nazmus Saquib and Tito Rahman of Nagorik TV demanded US$600,000 from the leading business conglomerate in Bangladesh through blackmailing. It is learnt, owners of Nagorik TV provided names and details of several individuals and an entity to the employee of the local business conglomerate for making payment of demanded extortion amounts. The extortionist racket asked the business conglomerate to pay BDT 4 million to an individual named Mizan (mobile number 0171-4045224); BDT 2 million to ASM Shafiul Haque, Account number 1101008272001, Routing 225275357, City Bank Limited, Principal branch, Dhaka, Bangladesh; BDT 2 million to ASM Shafiqul Haque, Account number 0012100211294, Routing 250272325, Uttara Bank Limited, Foreign Exchange Branch, Dilkusha, Dhaka; and BDT 2 million to Common Hardware & Interior Solution, Account number 20506030100006204, Routing 125300522, Islami Bank BD Limited, Hospital Moor Branch, Feni, Bangladesh.

Arrest ‘Nagorik TV’ cohorts forthwith

On October 15, 2022, cyberterrorists who run ‘Nagorik TV’ have published another post on its Facebook page against Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, where some of the diehard supporters and activists of this anti-state propaganda vessel have openly left comments and been sharing it in a big way. Under Bangladesh’s cybercrime laws, such actions are considered as serious crime. As we already have identified several cohorts of these cyberterrorists in Bangladesh, Detective Branch of Bangladesh Police needs to immediately take action against those agents of ‘Nagorik TV’. Meanwhile, we also are drawing attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other law enforcement agencies in the US to investigate cyberterrorist activities of Nazmus Saquib, arrest this criminal and deport him to Bangladesh.
