Controversial draft law on foreign agents withdrawn from parliament in Georgia, sparking street protests

According to <a rel=”nofollow” href=”https://tass.ru/mezhdunarodnaya-panorama/17222325″>TASS</a>, the ruling party “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia” decided to withdraw the draft law on foreign agents from the Georgian Parliament. It should be noted that the introduction of this law into the parliament caused protests in Georgia.

Oppositionists began to express dissatisfaction, and they brought the people to the streets. The police came to use special equipment to disperse the protesters on March 7 and 8. Over two days of protests, more than 130 people were detained and 60 policemen were injured.
