Despite global concern centering coronavirus, the pandemic has already started disappearing from a number of countries in the world and it is predicted by biochemical scientists that the virus would be totally disappeared by the third week of May.

As most of the nations in the world are currently struggling in fighting the spread of coronavirus pandemic and death of thousands of people, experts are already seeing high-optimism of the world being totally free from the threats posed by this pandemic by the third week of May.

Seeking anonymity, a biochemical scientist who has been closely monitoring the ups and downs of the pandemic said, coronavirus has almost disappeared from China and is also showing signs of disappearance in a number of countries such as Austria, Italy, and Spain.

If someone can check the daily tally of the coronavirus infection and death, it will be proved that the virus already has greatly weakened in many countries, including the United States and Britain.

He said, if the lockdown can be continued until the first week of May, countries like Bangladesh, India, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and the Middle East would definitely see a very encouraging result with dramatic fall in the number of new cases as well as a massive decline in the number of deaths.

According to the biochemical scientist, as the virus showed up during December last year in Wuhan city in China, throughout these months, millions of people are already attaining self-immune capabilities, while the virus itself is gradually becoming weaker.

It should be mentioned here that China is already free from the effect of coronavirus and it has already resumed activities in the commercial and industrial sector only by ensuring some health precautions. Similar methods can also be copied by countries like Bangladesh and India, for example, and commercial and industrial establishments can be gradually opened up by ensuring perfect health precautions. Most importantly, those countries need to immediately begin spraying liquid sanitizer into the wheels of vehicles as the wheels are considered to be extremely vulnerable to carrying viruses.

Secondly, the governments should take measures of spraying bleaching powder mixed water into every public transport after each of the trips, to ensure the safety of the passengers.

According to the expert, proper safety measures should be fully ensured in the following places for the sake of resuming works at a limited scale, until the pandemic totally disappears:

ATM booths of banks

Public transports

Railway stations

Bus stations

Airports

Vehicle wheels

Groceries

Meat shops

Vegetable markets

Seaports

Ambulances

Vehicles used by law enforcing agencies

Small, medium and large factories

Elevators

Vehicle parking spaces

The expert said, there is no reason to feel panicked and the governments should ensure that the medias do not play the role of fearmongers, as getting people worried and panicked would result in drastic decrease in the immune capacity. While staying fully cautious about the pandemic, people should also learn to avoid indulging into too much discussion on this matter and totally refrain from publishing or sharing fearsome rumors and photographs on the coronavirus pandemic.

He said, so far, Bangladesh has very efficiently handled the coronavirus challenge and the government deserves appreciation for doing that.
