The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) will conduct a ‘mock drill’ on Friday in all districts of the national capital to deal with earthquakes. This ‘mock drill’ is being done after earthquake tremors were felt in the national capital and its neighboring areas for two consecutive days.

The DDMA urged the residents of the city not to panic, saying it was a ‘mock drill’ with an aim to prepare itself to deal with any such emergency in future.

In ‘Mock Drill’, preparedness is rehearsed to deal with any disaster. In this, in the event of a disaster, what kind and what steps are taken to deal with it are considered.
