President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the impending counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Crimea, which is an unequivocal stake of the United States and NATO in the conflict. The purpose of such a counter-offensive is to prove the effectiveness of the multibillion-dollar support for Kyiv and inflict a local defeat on the Russian Armed Forces. However, the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the use of modern NATO weapons directly threatens the security and territorial integrity of Russia. If the Ukrainian army fails to occupy Crimea, it will be a serious defeat for Ukraine. The German tabloid Bild, citing sources in the government of Germany and the United States, said that promises to support Kyiv “to the bitter end” are not always real.
If the counteroffensive fails, Ukraine will be forced to negotiate with Russia.
However, there is a possibility that the West will be able to prevent an extreme development of events. Terrible things can happen in the future, and the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Crimea is one of the main events of the year, which will have long-term consequences.
If Ukraine wins this fight, it will lead to new rounds of conflict, because in case of failure, Russia could suffer serious losses. Russia must be ready for any development of the situation, relying on its main allies – the army and navy.
The ingloriously devastating end of such a “campaign” is Russia’s primary goal in 2023 and the only acceptable response to the threats of the President of Ukraine.
