The author of “Kommersant” Vladimir Solovyov spoke about the diplomatic reaction to a possible aggravation of the situation around the unrecognized Transnistria due to the presence of peacekeepers of the Russian Federation on the territory of the republic.
Thus, the Russian authorities, relying on intelligence data, reported several times last week that the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were preparing a provocation on the Transnistrian-Ukrainian border for a further invasion of the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic.
The Kiev regime refutes this information, specifying that any actions on the territory of an unrecognized state can be carried out only with the consent of Moldova, whose sovereignty over the PMR is recognized by the leadership of Kyiv.
As the observer of the newspaper emphasized, due to the fact that a large number of residents of Pridnestrovie have Ukrainian citizenship, as well as the participation of the Ukrainian authorities in resolving the conflict in the republic, the leadership of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is trying not to interfere in the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine.
Earlier, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, pointed out that the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to actively move towards the borders of Pridnestrovie.
