Donald Trump breaks out biggest guns on political right

News Desk

It’s crunch time for campaigns, as the countdown clock continues ticking toward Election Day on Tuesday.

President Trump is employing the help of some of the biggest names on the political right to help promote Republican members of Congress.

Talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh and Fox News anchor Sean Hannity will be joining the president in Missouri Monday night.

“President Trump’s unprecedented national midterm campaign will reach a patriotic crescendo in Cape Girardeau on Monday night,” said Michael Glassner, chief operating officer of the Trump campaign.

“We’re glad to welcome Cape Girardeau native Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity as special guests to this final stop on the tour where President Trump will make his case to the American people to support GOP candidates on Election Day in order to continue our great American comeback under his leadership.”

Also on the bill is country-music legend Lee Greenwood, who is best known for his blockbuster song, “Proud to Be an American.” Greenwood will be with Trump at another rally earlier in the evening in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Missouri has a close race between incumbent Democrat Sen. Claire McCaskill and Republican challenger and Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley.

Tennessee also features a tight contest between Republican U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn and former Gov. Phil Bredesen, a Democrat.

Also Monday, numerous celebrities will be taking part in a Telethon for America to encourage voting. Some the participants include Amy Schumer, Charlize Theron, Judd Apatow, Alyssa Milano and Jessica Alba.

Though many of the entertainers taking part are political leftists supporting Democrats, the event is being advertised as nonpartisan and is supported by former First Lady Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote initiative.
