Donald Trump forms new party

After leaving White House on January 20, 2021, Donald Trump reportedly is considering a new political party, with the aim of “liberating” Americans from the nightmare of being ruled by socialists and Islamists while upholding ‘America First’ policy at the forefront. Media reports claim, President Trump has talked in recent days with his associates about forming a new political party.

Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him on the matter of floating a new party named ‘Patriot Party’.

The sources further claimed, Donald Trump is unhappy with several influential leaders of the Republicans Party for their “bias” towards the Democratic Party and its “anti-America” steps.

Although, there is pessimism about Trump’s seriousness about forming a new party, as it would require significant investment of time and resources, despite the fact, Donald Trump has a large base of supporters, some of whom were not deeply involved in Republican party’s politics prior to Trump’s 2016 campaign.

It may be mentioned here that, third parties have typically failed to draw enough support to play a major role in national elections. Any effort to start a new party would likely face intense opposition from Republican party officials, who would chafe at the thought of Mr. Trump peeling off support from GOP candidates.

Trump’s own social media

Immediately after leaving White House, Donald Trump has asked few of his trusted aides to find ways of launching his own social media site “as soon as possible”. Possible name of the site would be ‘MAGA’, which already has emerged into a symbol of Trump’s patriotism and commitment towards the people of the US. But for launching the new social media site, Trump needs to be convinced about its capability of competing with Tech Giants such as Twitter and Facebook, while he also wants to make sure – ‘MAGA’ is not forced to shut down similarly as Parlor.
