Dowry death convicts got life imprisonment, two years after the murder, the Begusarai court gave its verdict

Begusarai. The Begusarai court has given a major verdict in a dowry death case. The court sentenced the husband of the deceased to life imprisonment. For almost two years, the father of the deceased was sitting waiting for justice. Today he got justice from the court. After the daughter’s killers were punished, father Phoolen Sahni told that today his daughter has got justice. Today his soul has found peace.

Life imprisonment for all the convicts

According to the information, Additional District and Sessions Judge of Begusarai Court, Anand Kumar Singh, while hearing the dowry death case, found Sunil Sahni, Kaushal Kumar, Soni Devi, Ravindra Sahni, residents of Bijulia of Khodavandpur police station, guilty of dowry death. The court sentenced all the culprits to life imprisonment. The court has ordered the District Legal Services Authority to provide compensation amount to the parents of the deceased fragrance under the government scheme. The father of the deceased Phoolen Sahni was also present in the court.

The murder took place on May 29, 2020

In 2018, Khushbu Kumari, daughter of Phoolen Sahni, was married to accused Sunil Sahni. After a few days, all the accused started harassing Khushbu Kumari for a bullet motorcycle and Rs 4 lakh. On May 29, 2020, at 3:00 pm, Phoolen Sahni was informed that her in-laws had strangled her daughter Khushbu to death. When he reached the daughter’s in-laws house, he saw that his daughter’s dead body had been burnt by sprinkling kerosene oil. On behalf of the prosecution, Additional Public Prosecutor Ramprakash Yadav and Miraj Akhtar Hashmi got a total of 7 witnesses to testify. After sentencing, the court sent all the accused to Begusarai jail to serve the sentence.
