Drone Delivery: Soon blood will be supplied through drones in the country, know how it will happen

Drone Delivery: If you remember, during the Corona epidemic, the work of sending vaccines and medicines from drones to remote areas of the country was successfully done. After this, soon blood supply can also be done through drones in hospitals. Due to this, it will take much less time to transport blood from one place to another and the family members of the patient will have less trouble.

According to the information, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has also successfully tested it in Delhi on Wednesday. For this, 10 blood samples from Government Institute of Medical Science (GIMS) and Lady Hardinge Medical College were transported via drone.

Sample was also sent from ambulance

In this regard, Dr. Bahal gave information and told that we have sent a sample through an ambulance. The work of matching it with the sample sent through drone will be done. If no difference is found in both the samples then it will be used all over India.

what is challenge

According to Dr. Rajiv Behl, Director General of ICMR, the i-drone was used in the trial, which has been developed by ICMR in collaboration with IIT Kanpur. Regarding the biggest obstacle in the blood supply, he said that maintaining proper temperature during transportation is the biggest challenge. For this, blood bags were kept in a box. After the successful testing of ICMR, it is now to be seen from when this facility will start in India.
