For those who consider popular social media platform Facebook as the “most effective” tool of educating people about the threats posed by radical Islam and jihad, now should know, the social media giant has started banning anti-jihad and anti radical Islam contents from various accounts and pages, while it also has started discouraging people from posting contents against anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial. Each of the time, anyone posting such contents either will receive warning or get banned from Facebook for a particular period or even forever. Facebook’s Vice President Joel Kaplan traveled to Pakistan in July 2017 to assure the Pakistani government that it would remove “anti-Islam” material. And Facebook has done so assiduously, banning numerous foes of jihad terror. Similarly, another social media giant Twitter has been active in stopping users from violating Pakistan’s infamous blasphemy law. The Wall Street Journal reports that CAIR officials “complained to Twitter” about activist Laura Loomer, citing a tweet in which she called the anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., an anti-Semite and an apologist for Sharia law. Loomer was later permanently banned from Twitter.
A large number of contents of Blitz, only anti-jihadist newspaper in the Muslim world were pulled down by Facebook saying it went their policies. Even the newspaper was warned of being banned from Facebook if it did not “refrain from” publishing contents, those are against radical Islam, jihad, anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial. Most surprisingly, there are anti-Semitic elements in most of the Jewish groups in the Facebook (mostly Pakistanis and Palestinians pretending to be Indian), who are regularly reporting the posts on those groups that are against Palestinian terrorists, Hamas, Hezbollah, Muslim Brotherhood and jihad. Some of the admins of those groups are even fooled by those members. In one of such “pro-Israel” groups named ‘Friends of Israel Project’, the moderator was convinced in such as way that she started publicly saying, Hindus are the only friends of the Jews while Christians and Muslims are enemies. In this particular case, the moderator was misled in such a way that she did not hesitate in openly insulting eminent anti-jihadist individuals. And of course, enemies of Israel and Jews need more of such individuals like the moderator of the aforesaid Facebook group.
According to reports in the media, Zahra Billoo, the executive director of CAIR’s San Francisco chapter, has special access to both Twitter and Facebook and she has been using this in combating pro-Israel, pro-Jewish and anti-jihadist contents on those sites. Furthermore, there are hundreds of Indian Muslims from Jammu and Kashmir in disguise of Hindus on Facebook and Twitter. Pretending as friend of Israel, they actually are destroying the voices favorable to Israel and the Jews as well voices confronting radical Islam. There even are plenty of leftist Hindus on the Facebook, who in reality consider Israel as an “illegitimate” state.
An active Jewish rights activist and Special Contributor of Blitz, Peter Baum has been regularly getting banned on Facebook for the “crime” of posting contents denouncing anti-Semitism and jihad. It may be mentioned here that, Peter is a research scholar and pro-Israel activist from the UK.
