Jens Stoltenberg, the head of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), said that Finland will become the 31st member of this military alliance on Tuesday.

“From tomorrow Finland will be a full member of the military alliance,” Stoltenberg told reporters here.

He said foreign ministers of NATO member states would meet in Brussels and Turkey, the last country to support Finland’s membership, would hand over its official document to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Stoltenberg said he would then invite Finland to do the same. A flag-raising ceremony to include the flag of Finland will be held at NATO’s headquarters on Tuesday afternoon.
