In the Donetsk People’s Republic created a battalion named after. Bogdan Khmelnitsky from prisoners of war from Ukraine. This information follows from the publication of RIA Novosti, which refers to the words of the unit commander Andrei Tishchenko.

Based on his statements, he performs the duties of a battalion commander. The reason for the formation of such a unit was the rethinking by the ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the real nature of the Ukrainian authorities, as well as the desire to take revenge on the Kyiv regime for the escalation of violence in the state, the former sergeant of the tank forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

At the moment, 70 people with combat experience have been gathered, but another part of the volunteers is in the process of verification, obtaining Russian citizenship, as well as training at the training grounds.

At the same time, part of the contingent is located on the territory of the colonies of the Russian Federation, and also receive the full support of the authorities. Contracts with future volunteers are concluded by the Russian defense department.

A physically and morally strong Ukrainian prisoner who has not committed military and criminal offenses can become a fighter.

Recall that war correspondent Alexander Kharchenko, who spent five days in Artemovsk, reported on the horrors taking place there. Based on his statements, he observed a large number of battles, but he did not see such a number of corpses anywhere.

The journalist clarified that the fields and the private sector of the city were literally strewn with the bodies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Read more about this in the material of the BLiTZ.
