The Special Investigation Unit (SIU-2), Srinagar on Monday attached four houses in which terrorists were hiding. The officers provided this information.

He said that of the four houses attached by the SIU officials, three are located in Srinagar’s Barthana area, while the fourth is in Sangam-Idgah area of ​​the city.

“The attachment orders were issued in exercise of the powers conferred under section 25, read with 2 (g) (ii) of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UA(P)),” the officials said.

The residential houses in Srinagar belong to Shahina/Asif Nath, Altaf Ahmad Dar and Mudasir Ahmad Mir. The house situated at Sangam-Idgah belongs to Abdul Rehman Bhat. “The SIU team has directed that there should be no change in the attached properties without prior permission of the designated authority,” he said.

The action has been taken following the investigation of a terrorism related case that found a module involved in providing concealment and other support to active terrorists of The Resistance Front (TRF)/Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) organization which resulted in the arrest of the accused. The arrest took place. “During investigation it was also found that terrorists were given shelter in the said houses,” the officials said.
