Government is taking steps to increase exports from MSME sector: Official

The Central Government is taking steps to increase exports from the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. For this, the government is setting up facilitation centers across the country. An official gave this information on Thursday.

D Mitra, joint director of the Indian Enterprise Development Service (IEDS) under the MSME ministry, said at a seminar here that the Export Facilitation Centers would provide necessary counseling and support to the sector. Apart from this, these centers will also help in building a network of entrepreneurs.

He informed that the Union Government will help the entrepreneurs of the region through participation in seminars, exhibitions and conferences, which will help them to make their products and services marketable.
