Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó: EU may impose sanctions against Russia’s nuclear sector

February 27 – BLiTZ: EU sanctions may affect the Russian nuclear industry. Such forecast in an interview with RIA Novosti, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto made.

He stressed that Hungary, when discussing the tenth package of sanctions, had to fight hard so that nuclear energy would not fall under restrictions. However, some EU member states have a “desperate desire” to impose sanctions against Rosatom, its partners and company leaders.

Hungary will continue to try to hold its ground and veto the bill if it is proposed, Szijjártó said.

Recall that the EU on Saturday published the tenth package of sanctions against Russia. It included 1473 individuals and 205 companies.
