If the fine is not paid within 90 days of the challan in Bihar, then the vehicle will be blacklisted

In Bihar, if the challan deducted for violating traffic rules is not deposited within 90 days, then the concerned vehicle will be blacklisted. After this, the vehicle owner will not be able to get the vehicle’s fitness, pollution, ownership transfer etc. done. The Transport Department has issued this order. Soon there is a plan to start e-challan through command and control center in Bihar Sharif Smart City, Muzaffarpur Smart City and Bhagalpur Smart City. Under Smart City, 30 ANPR cameras have been installed in Patna, through which e-challans have started being deducted. Soon the Transport Department will increase this scope up to five times. According to the department, the process of installing 150 cameras at 29 spots will start by this month.

E-challan message started reaching people

After the new system, when people get a message on their mobile after breaking the traffic rules, the vehicle owner comes to know that he has been challaned. According to the department, a control and command center has been set up near Gandhi Maidan to monitor the arrangements for deduction of e-challans. Due to this, 487 e-challans have been deducted from March 20 till now. Maximum 317 e-challans have been issued for violating traffic signals, while 150 for wrong side and 20 for over-speeding have been issued.
