In the residential areas of Belgorod on the night of February 28, fragments of three drones were found. According to one of the addresses, the mayor of the city Valentin Demidov visited the scene of the incident, after which he reported that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flew into the window of one of the apartments.
The mayor noted that all people have already been transported to a safe place. To do this, a roundabout was organized. Some people were settled in a hotel, but most of the tenants chose to stay with their friends.
“They offered to stay in a hotel while the special services are doing their job. The territory has been cordoned off, we will ensure the protection of property,” Demidov said in his Telegram channel.
Also, fragments of drones were found on two more streets. As a result of their fall, three cars received minor damage.
“The main thing is that no one was hurt. Tomorrow we will take up the restoration of damaged property,” the mayor promised.
Earlier on February 27, Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov also reported that fragments of three UAVs had been found in Belgorod. Operational services are currently investigating the origin of the drones and the circumstances of the incident.
At the disposal of Izvestia were footage from the place where the drones were found. According to eyewitnesses, there was no loud noise during the fall of the UAV.
