Inauguration of Chardham: Gangotri-Yamunotri portals opened, Chief Minister Dhami visited

Uttarkashi, 22 April (Hindustan Times). The portals of Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham, one of the world famous Chardhams, were opened on Saturday with chanting on Akshaya Tritiya. The doors of Gangotri Dham opened at 12.35 pm. As soon as the doors opened, devotees from all over the country including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had darshan of Maa Ganga. Whereas, the doors of Yamunotri Dham opened at 12:41 pm today. Along with this, devotees from the country and abroad will be able to visit Mother Ganga and Yamuna here for the next six months.

Here Gangotri Temple Committee President Rawal Harish Semwal and Secretary Suresh Semwal told that after Ganga Poojan, Ganga Sahastranam recitation and special worship, the doors of Gangotri Dham will be opened for the devotees at 12:35 on Sarvartha Amrit Siddha Yoga. are given. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also witnessed the opening of the doors of Gangotri Dham. In the morning, before leaving for Yamunotri Dham, he sent off Mother Yamuna’s doli at Kharsali and after that participated in the process of opening of doors at Gangotri Dham. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami said that the government has taken care of all the comforts and facilities of the devotees coming for the Chardham Yatra. Chardham Yatra is no less than a celebration for the state.

On the other hand, Yamunotri Temple Committee Secretary Suresh Uniyal said that the doors of Yamunotri Dham have been opened for the devotees from India and abroad at exactly 12:41 with Vedic chanting.
