After remaining silent for almost 12 years, a notorious separatist group in India, United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), which had continued a series of terrorist activities within the North-Eastern states has started taking preparations for resuming its activities with the active support of a Bangladeshi radical Islamist political party named Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

According to Bangla Insider news portal, a ULFA leader named Aichen Khang has been making phone calls to several leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party as well as some journalists and media personalities from mobile phone numbers +1-407-6550012 and +1-22084237323 as well as chatting from anonymous Facebook accounts with the notorious agenda of ousting the current government.

Bangla Insider claims, Aichen Khang also is contacting several mid-ranking leaders with the agenda of fixing betrayers, which would play a similar role as 1975. It may be mentioned here that, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along with his family members were brutally assassinated in a gruesome coup, where few leaders of the Bangladesh Awami League had played a dubious role.

The Indian separatist group reportedly is demanding refund of US$ 6 billion from fugitive BNP leader Tarique Rahman, who has been living in Britain since 2007. Aichen Khang has asked Tarique Rahman to refund the amount, which was spent for buying various types of weapons and ammunition. The entire consignment of huge arms and ammunition was intercepted in Bangladesh by the members of Bangladesh Police in 2005. Although BNP was in power, ULFA men believe the consignment was intercepted by some Awami League loyalist police officers.

According to the news portal, Tarique Rahman has asked Aichen Khang to put pressure on the Bangladesh government to pay up US$6 billion – the claimed price of the weapons and ammunitions intercepted in 2005. If Bangladesh government refuses to pay, ULFA leaders have planned to spread disease-carrying pathogens to Bangladesh through the Brahmaputra river, and kill Bangladeshi citizens at the Assam border to create an anarchic situation in Bangladesh which will favor the Bangladesh Nationalist Party in the next general election.

Meanwhile, according to information obtained by Blitz, ULFA leaders have been also contacting the members of Islamist terror outfit Hizbul Mujahedin as well as Al Qaeda In Indian Sub-continent (AQIS) and the Indian chapter of Islamic State with an agenda of staging terrorist attacks inside India.
