Israeli settlers set fire to several Palestinian homes in villages near the West Bank city of Nablus. On Sunday, February 26, reports WAFA with a link to the source.

“In the village of Asira al-Qiblia, south of Nablus, settlers set fire to a Palestinian-owned house during a raid on the village,” the source said.

It also became known that the Israelis went south, on a march to the city of Huwara and the village of Beit, where they threw stones at houses, set fire to several houses, a car and a shack. In the city, they attacked a Palestinian who was soon hospitalized.

“This comes after two settlers were killed near Huwara today,” writes WAFA.

On January 4, the agency reported that a 15-year-old teenager was killed during clashes between the Israeli military and Palestinian refugees in the West Bank. Adam Ayad became the third Palestinian victim of Israeli military operations since early 2023. So, the day before, 22-year-old Mohammad Samer Khushie and 25-year-old Fuad Mahmoud Abed were killed.

On December 24, it became known that as a result of riots in the West Bank of the Jordan, dozens of Palestinians received various injuries, including a one and a half year old girl.

The Palestinians, as part of the currently suspended peace process with Israel, are demanding that future borders between the two states follow lines that existed before the 1967 Six-Day War, with a possible exchange of territories.

They hope to create their own state on the West Bank of the Jordan River and in the Gaza Strip, and they want to make East Jerusalem their capital. Israel refuses to return to the 1967 borders and divide Jerusalem.
