It has been informed by the organization that the people who were targeted by the Israeli Defense Forces included Commander Jihad Shaker al-Ganam, Secretary of the Military Council of the Al-Quds Brigades. Also included are Khalil Salah al-Bahtini, commander of the Al Quds Brigades’ northern sector, and Tariq Mohammed Ejaldeen, head of the Al Quds Brigades’ military wing in the West Bank.
It was claimed that along with the commanders of the organization, their families were also killed. 12 people including three commanders have died. Declaring the continuation of the fight against Israel, the Islamic Jihad organization said that its will has been strengthened by these attacks.
On behalf of Israel’s National Security Council, it was said that the commanders of Islamic Jihad who were killed were plotting terror against Israeli citizens. Israel will not spare anyone who will spread terrorism against Israel. Israel will be defended with all might. Regarding these attacks, he said that it was a response to the aggression shown by the Islamic Jihad Organization. The same organization fired 102 rockets into southern Israel on May 2.
It is reported that Bahtini was a senior commander of Islamic Jihad and was leading the group that fired rockets towards Israel. At the same time, Ezaldin was playing an important role in providing financial help to this organization against Israel. Ghanem was also leading the brigade of this organization and was playing an important role in the supply of money and weapons to Hamas from Islamic Jihad.
