Gumla, Jagarnath Paswan: With the aim of strengthening the agriculture and education sector in Gumla district, the district administration team is working on a strategy. Under this, on May 16 and 17, camps will be organized in all the block headquarters under the district. Camps will be organized at three places in Sadar Block Gumla, Block Headquarters, Toto Panchayat Headquarters and Kotam Panchayat Headquarters. Farmers will be registered for KCC loan in the camp, while problems related to Aadhaar card, bank account of school children deprived of scholarship will also be resolved. For those who could not take advantage of the camp on 16th and 17th May, the same camp will be organized again on 29th and 30th May. DC Sushant Gaurav gave this information to the journalists at the Collectorate building auditorium on Thursday.

Farmers will get facility in taking KCC loan

DC said that Kharif season is near. In this season, every farmer of the district cultivates different types of crops in their respective fields. There are many farmers who lack capital. Because of which they are not able to do proper farming in their fields. The aim of the camp is to provide loan from KCC to such farmers, so that after taking the loan, they can start farming on time by taking seeds, fertilizers or other things related to agriculture. Gumla is an agricultural district, so it is our responsibility to benefit the farmers from the agriculture related schemes run by the government for the farmers.

Discussion of farm loan waiver scheme

On the other hand, referring to the farm loan waiver scheme, he said that till now the loan waiver of about 12 thousand farmers of Gumla district has been done. But, till now the loan waiver of about eight thousand farmers is yet to be done. The loan waiver of these farmers could not be done due to lack of e-KYC. Out of these eight thousand farmers, about two thousand farmers are fake. Even after this, loan waiver of about six thousand farmers is yet to be done. E-KYC of such farmers will also be done through the camp, so that their loan can also be waived and they can take loan again and do agriculture work.

Appeal, parents reached the camp with children

Talking about school children deprived of scholarship, DC Sushant Gaurav said that thousands of children in the district are still deprived of scholarship received through the welfare department. If there is a mistake in the name, address or father’s name of a child, then there is a problem with the Aadhaar card of the child. Right now the summer vacation is going on in the schools. The children are at home. The teachers are also at home. In such a situation, efforts are being made to solve the problems of the children deprived of scholarship through the camp, making good use of the time, so that as soon as the allotment is received from the government. Scholarship amount can be provided to the children through their bank account. The DC appealed to the parents to come to the camp with their children and cooperate in opening bank accounts of their children.
