Justice Chandrachud said- Justice Shah’s entry into the Collegium on November 9, 2022 coincided with my own appointment as Chief Justice on the same day…. He has been a steadfast ally full of practical wisdom for me in the Collegium. He had excellent advice. It helped us a lot when we made the first seven appointments in a short span of time. The CJI also quoted Pakistani poet Obaidullah Aleem and said – Aankh se door sahi dil se kahan jaega, jaane waale tu hume yaad bahut aayega.

An emotional Justice Shah thanked the Bar for the farewell ceremony, saying he had performed his duties without fear, favor or ill-will. He said- It is the duty of all of us to get justice on time. All are requested to get out of the culture of adjournment (of matters) and do not take any unnecessary adjournments. My another piece of advice to young lawyers is not to practice law by resorting to special mention or adjournment, but prepare yourself (for the case). Justice Shah said that parting is always painful. He said- I have played my innings very well. I have always followed my conscience. I always believe in god and karma. Attorney General R. Venkataramani also expressed his views

Justice Shah quoted former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said – Those who were yesterday are not today. Those who are today will not be tomorrow. The sequence of being and not being will continue like this. We are, we will remain, this illusion will continue forever. SCBA President and Senior Advocate Vikas Singh said that Justice Shah was very inspirational, especially for young and first generation lawyers. On this occasion, Attorney General R.
