UP civic elections: The counting of votes for the urban body elections in Uttar Pradesh has started from 8 am. 1168 candidates of Kanpur have tried their luck in the body elections. His fate is decided today. Counting of votes has started at 160 tables from 8 am in Naubasta Galla Mandi. The counting of votes is being done in four platforms for Mayor and Councilor and in one for Bithoor Nagar Panchayat. Councilor results will start coming from 12 noon. And the result of the mayor will be revealed by 4 o’clock. Counting of Municipal Corporation and Bithoor is being done at Naubasta Galla Mandi, Ghatampur Municipality at Janta Inter College and Shivrajpur and Bilhaur at BRD Inter College. The counting of votes has started with the postal ballot.
Counting of 3480 postal ballots started
The counting of votes will first begin with the postal ballot. There are 1608-1608 votes for mayor and councilor. In Ghatampur, 79-79 votes for Municipal President, 26-26 for Municipality President in Bilhaur, 12-12 for Nagar Panchayat President in Bithoor and 15-15 in Shivrajpur have been cast by postal ballot. Counting of all postal ballots has started. After the counting of postal ballots, the counting of EVMs and ballot papers will start.
