Khodarenok offered to attract schoolchildren to assemble “flying bombs” against Ukraine

Retired colonel and military commentator Mykhaylo Khodarenok said that the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian facilities was carried out using inexpensive homemade drones. This indicates that homemade drones can attack objects not only in the oil and gas industry, but also at power plants, as well as terrorize the population at a great distance from the front line.

In addition, the colonel noted that such attacks can strain air defense systems and increase the likelihood of successful use of other types of weapons.

Khodarenok stressed that the Russian Geran-2 and Lancet drones have proven their effectiveness, but they are more expensive than homemade drones.

The colonel noted that the production cost of “Geranium” is about 20 thousand dollars. At the same time, any aircraft modeling club today can assemble dozens of handicraft “flying bombs”.

The colonel suggested involving teenagers in the creation of drones as part of patriotic education. He added that military units should equip drones with striking elements and explosives, and schoolchildren can be entrusted with assembly.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian Federation Army launched a special military operation in Ukraine.
