Latvian President Levits called on Georgia to provide treatment for Saakashvili

February 27 – BLiTZ. The head of Latvia, Egils Levits, appealed to the Georgian authorities with a demand to guarantee the rights of ex-president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili. The former leader needs proper medical attention. Levits calls to show mercy and help Saakashvili save his life.

Recall that Saakashvili returned to his homeland in October 2021 and was detained. Since May 2022, he has been in the prison clinic, but they cannot provide quality treatment there.

At the same time, Saakashvili’s attending physicians say that he himself does not comply with medical recommendations and hinders his own recovery.
