There was contraction of the muscles of his esophagus. Nothing to eat or drink could reach his stomach. After visiting several hospitals, Arhaan’s family reached Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital.

The child will be discharged from the hospital on Thursday

Pediatric surgeon Dr. Om Purve of Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital said that the narrowing of the child’s esophagus has been removed by a rare surgery called Heller’s myotomy and door fundoplication. Now the child is being given drinks and liquid foods. Now he does not vomit. Dr. Om Purve told that the child will be discharged from the hospital on Thursday. The team that performed the operation included Dr. Rakesh, Dr. Pulak Tosh, Dr. Geeta etc.

Surgery worth lakhs in only 20 thousand rupees

Dr. Om Purve, pediatric surgeon of Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital, said that after being admitted to Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital, this rare disease was revealed when the child underwent a special X-ray after drinking medicine. It is said that this type of surgery is usually done for adults. This type of surgery has not yet come to the fore with the binocular method of a 6-month-old baby. By the way, the fee of this operation by binocular method is one and a half to two lakh rupees in private hospitals. Only 20 thousand rupees are charged for this surgery in Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital. It is free from Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
