Malaysia floods: More than 26 thousand people were evacuated to safer places due to floods.

One person has died due to floods in Malaysia while till Thursday more than 26 thousand people have been evacuated to safer places.

The state of Johor, which borders Singapore, was the most affected by the floods, where some 25,000 people were shifted to relief camps set up in schools and community buildings, officials said.

The number of people affected has doubled as compared to Tuesday. Five other states have also come under the grip of floods due to torrential rains on Wednesday.

In Johor, officials said the car of a man on his way to work on a palm oil plantation was swept away by floodwaters. The body of that person has been recovered from the car.
