A court in the national capital on Wednesday sent former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to judicial custody for 14 days in a money laundering case related to excise policy.
Special Judge M.K. Nagpal sent senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sisodia to jail till April 5 when the Enforcement Directorate (ED) produced him before the court after his custodial interrogation.
The ED interrogated Sisodia in custody for seven days. The special court on Tuesday adjourned till March 25 the bail plea of Sisodia in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe case.
The CBI had arrested Sisodia on February 26 in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the excise policy. Now this policy has been repealed.
The ED had arrested Sisodia on March 9 from Tihar Jail, where he was lodged in connection with the CBI probe.
