Acting chairman of pro-Islamist and anti-Semitic Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Tarique Rahman, who also is a convicted fugitive evidently has become crazy of returning to power or at least ousting the current government in Bangladesh. During the month of Ramadan, while he had multiple discreet meetings with an official of Pakistan’s spy agency Inter Service Intelligence (ISI), he had even contacted Mendi Safadi, a Lebanese-Druze, who also proclaims himself as an adviser to the Likud Party and affiliated with Israeli security agency Mossad. Since 2016, Safadi has been on monthly payroll of BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury as the later is willing of using Safadi’s “Jewish lobby” and “Mossad influence”. The monthly transaction of this lobbyist money is handled by another fugitive culprit named Shipan Kumer Basu, a Bangladeshi national illegally living in India. Shipan too proclaims himself to be connected to Mossad and “top figures” in Israel while he also falsely claims to be having relations with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other key figures in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
According to credible sources, Mendi Safadi, being accompanied by a bald-headed man whom Mendi introduced as an agent of Mossad met Tarique Rahman and held a secret meeting for over two hours. During this meeting, Tarique sought Mendi and Mossad’s help in putting pressure on the Bangladesh government in announcing a fresh election by the end of this year. He also requested the alleged Mossad agent and Safadi to convince Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in asking Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to push over four million Bangla-speaking Muslims into Bangladesh “at the earliest”.
This meeting took place at the initiative of BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury.
Who is Mendi Safadi?
Mendi Safadi runs a website named Safadi Center for International Diplomacy, Research, Human Rights and Public Relations, through which he pretends to be running an “international organization”. But in reality, there is no existence of any such organization in Israel.
In 2017, Mendi Safadi and Shipan Kumer Basu jointly sent a letter to the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling upon him to “establish diplomatic relations between Israel and Bangladeshi Hindus. Israeli Prime Minister’s office expressed ignorance of receiving any such letter.
From the website of World Hindu Struggle Committee, it is revealed that the so-called organization mentions 6 3, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road, Park Street,
Kolkata, West Bengal, India as its office though it was confirmed by our correspondents in Kolkata that no such organization exists in that address.
In the Our Team page of the website, there are photographs of five individuals [three females and two males], whose names are not mentioned, proving, these pictures had been stolen from the social media accounts.
According to a website named Jerusalem Online, in January 2019, Mendi Safadi tried to get nomination from the Likud Party for contesting in the Knesset election. Anyway, he did not get the nomination.
On October 14, 2018, Bangladesh’s most-influential newspaper Blitz published a report titled ‘Mendi Safadi’s Criminal Activities Exposed’, giving details of the criminal activities and fraud of Mendi Safadi and his cohort Shipan Kumer Basu.
