With this, Mumbai became the first team to chase down a target of more than 200 in two consecutive IPL matches. Earlier, Mumbai had successfully chased down a target of 213 against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium.

Talking about the match against Punjab, in this match, Punjab Kings, batting first, scored 214 runs for 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For Punjab, Liam Livingstone scored an unbeaten 82 while Jitesh Sharma scored an unbeaten 49 while playing an excellent half-century innings. Apart from these two, Shikhar Dhawan scored 30 and Matthew Short scored 27 runs.

In response, Mumbai won the match by scoring 216 runs in 4 wickets in 18.5 overs thanks to the excellent half-century innings of Ishaan Kishan (75) and Suryakumar Yadav (66).
