Mural painting made at Varanasi airport recorded in ‘Eurasia World Record’, know its specialty

Lucknow : Keeping in mind the G-20 conference, the name of Shivling made of glass dedicated to Shiva at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport has been registered in the Eurasia World Record, due to which the officials are very happy. It was inaugurated by BHU Vice Chancellor Professor Sudhir Jain on 6th April. Sadia Hannan, who came to Varanasi from America on behalf of Eurasia World Record, Varanasi Airport Director Aryama Sanyal and BHU Professor Suresh K. Nair and 11 students were handed over this certificate, apart from this the students were also honored.

On this occasion, Dr. Jagadish Pillai, who has registered Kashi’s name in the Guinness Book of World Records four times, was also present. On the other hand, BHU students Saurabh Srivastava, Pulak K. Sarkar, Arunima Mondal, Kajal Verma, Mansi Shah, Aastha Tiwari, Tenzin Yonten, Norbu Tashi, Tenzin Newdon, Shruti participated in preparing this mural on behalf of Eurasia World Records. Gupta and Priya Gupta will also be honored with participation certificates.

Airport director told the specialty of mural painting

It was informed by the Airport Director that a mural painting of 55.74 square meters i.e. 600 square feet long has been made by Kashi Hindu University Professor Mr. Suresh K. Nair and his eleven students in the main terminal building of Varanasi Airport. He also told that the 6.096 meter long and 9.144 wide (20×30 feet) mural painting has become the center of attraction for every passenger coming from the airport.

There are 300 lotus flower designs in this painting and in the center there is a Shiva Linga made of mirror in which the beholder can see himself. It was also told by the airport director that after seeing this painting, the person present there comes to know about himself. It is told that by painting one gets the resolution and education of Veda’s Mahvakya “Tatvamasi” ie “He is you”.
