New appointments of national competencies in «Qatar Financial Markets»

His Excellency Tami bin Ahmed Al-Binali, CEO of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, issued a number of decisions that include new appointments in the authority, including directors and heads of departments, within the framework of the policy of nationalizing jobs, raising the rate of Qatarization, and supporting enabling Qatari cadres to occupy senior positions in the authority.

Under the new appointments, it was decided to appoint Mr. Khalid Saif Al-Sulaiti as Director of the Governance and Disclosure Department, in addition to his duties.

Al-Sulaiti has held the position of Director of the Risk Unit in the Authority since 2018, and he has practical experience of more than 19 years in the field of internal control, risk management and internal auditing.

Al-Sulaiti holds a master’s degree in risk management and a bachelor’s degree in financial management, in addition to a number of professional certificates in the field.

Ms. Noura Abdulaziz Al-Emadi has also been appointed Acting Director of Complaints Department.

Noura Al-Emadi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Qatar University.
She joined the authority in 2011 as a complaints researcher, and in 2016 she was appointed head of the investigations department in the complaints department. She served as a member of several committees, the most important of which was the investigation committee.

Under the new appointments, Mr. Ali Shafie Brik was also appointed as Acting Director of the Securities Department and Offering and Listing Affairs.

Ali Brik holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern New Hampshire in the United States of America, and has a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma certificate.

Ali Brik had worked as an operations accountant at Shell International, and a partner for quality work at Qatar National Bank.

Ms. Al-Jazi Hamad Al-Marri was also appointed Acting Director of Licensing Department.
Mrs. Al-Jazi joined the Authority in 2008, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Economics from Qatar University.

She worked in the field of monitoring the financial market, licensing financial services companies and professionals, and licensing the financial market and depository.

Mrs. Nour Zayed Al Shamali was also appointed as Head of the International Cooperation Unit.

Noor Al-Shamali joined the Qatar Financial Markets Authority in 2013, where she supervises the development and development of staff plans in the International Cooperation Unit, contributes to representing the Authority in local and international forums, and studying the feasibility of joining memberships in regional and international organizations related to capital markets.

Noor Al-Shamali holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Qatar University, and a Master’s degree in Strategic Business Unit Management from HEC Paris University.
