Millions of our readers around the world as well as hundreds and thousands of friends and allies are already shocked, surprised and annoyed knowing about the online edition of Blitz being blocked in Bangladesh from January 22, 2019. Though we are not yet sanguine about the names and force those who are behind this extreme notoriety, we definitely know – it can only be those friends and darlings of radical Islamic militancy – cohorts of Iran and Palestine – and enemies of Zion. Those who are behind this unimaginable attempt of suffocating the voice of Blitz – a newspaper that has already emerged into the strongest platform of decency, free speech and fearless voice confronting radical Islam, jihad, antisemitism, Holocaust denial, repression of religious and ethnic minorities, religious extremism, social injustice and anything that causes pains to the inhabitants of this world.

Those who are thinking, by blocking Blitz they may succeed in putting us into fear are in fool’s paradise. They do not know the power of the Zionists and the power of the anti-jihadist forces. They do not even can imagine the consequences for this crude, cruel and exposed notoriety on a newspaper like Blitz, which already has emerged into one of the most influential newspapers in the world. We now have no fear in pronouncing – Blitz is not a mere newspaper run by few people. Instead, it is a huge family of millions of courageous and heroic people from around the world. What we say in Blitz, it greatly matters and those policymakers in the West consider us as the most authentic source of information.

This latest blocking of Blitz site in Bangladesh has evidently proved, darlings of radical Islam and antisemitism are extremely active and influential in the country. Of course we can precisely sense that when pro-Caliphate groups like Hefazat e Islam openly barks calling upon people to refrain from sending their girl children to schools and colleges and when the state machinery remains silent on such notorious and evil forces. We do realize how Bangladesh is gradually going into the grips of radical Islam and religious intolerance when prom-militancy forces like Jamaat e Islami openly continues activities under the direct patronization of one of the largest political parties in the country. We are aware of the density of threats posed to us by those radical Islamic and jihadist groups like Jamaat e Islami, Hefazat e Islam, Hizbut Tahrir, Ansar Al Islam, Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh, ISIS, AQIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, Muslim Brotherhood, ARSA as well as cohorts of Iran and Palestine. We even are aware of the threats posed by Pakistani spy agency Inter Service Intelligence (ISI), which has gone mad at us as we are continuously exposing their evil conspiracies against the people of Bangladesh. But, those evils nexuses do not know – we are not amongst those who would turn silent fearing threats of intimidation of cruelty. Enemies of Blitz must note – the word ‘retreat’ is not in my vocabulary and we will not bow-down to any evil pressure – be it from domestic elements or from Iran, Palestine, Recep Tayyip Erdogan or Pakistani ISI.

The elements behind unjust blocking of Blitz in Bangladesh could not terrorize us as they would have thought. Instead, it has further consolidated our unity with those decent people around the world, who confront radical Islam, jihad, antisemitism, religious bigotry and any repressive force or regime anywhere in the world.

We would like to express our profound gratitude to Muzaffar Ahmad Noori Bajwa, the editor in chief of Eastern Herald, who has been actively trying to spread the news about blocking of Blitz site in Bangladesh. Knowing of the blocking of Blitz in Bangladesh he said, “Online edition of this voice of the Zion has been blocked in Bangladesh just a few days from January 27 when the entire world will observe the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and Blitz will be publishing many articles which would help its readers in Bangladesh in knowing the history of the Holocaust in a country where antisemitism, Israel bashing, and hatred towards Jewish people are still at alarmingly high level. Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury is not only the most courageous and virtuous journalist in today’s world but he and his newspaper deserve global appreciation and admiration for the role they have been playing for more than 16 years. The latest incident of blocking the Blitz online edition in Bangladesh clearly proves the degree of intimidation and repression any free press like Blitz are facing in Bangladesh.”

Blitz contributor David N Robinson said, “I am seeing the ghost of Erdogan [Recep Tayyip Erdogan] emerging in Bangladesh. Despite the fact that I am an admirer of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, under any circumstance, this incident of blocking of Blitz online edition in Bangladesh can never be accepted and expected from a government headed by Ms. Hasina. I wonder how such serious actions could be taken against a world-class newspaper like Blitz at a very crucial time for the ruling party in Bangladesh, when the December 30 general election is gradually becoming clearly questioned and controversial. Such actions can only contribute in putting the Bangladesh government into further controversy and place it within those repressive and fascist regimes in the world.”

When a newspaper, due to its editorial policy and commitment to global peace, reach up to a level that Blitz already has reached, it is impossible for any hostile, dictatorial, authoritarian and fascist regime in the world in suffocating its voice. If the conspirators think they can even totally shut down Blitz – dozens of ‘Blitz’ will emerge from different nations around the world as such newspapers inherit the character of Phoenix. You can burn us into ashes, but take it for granted we will re-emerge even in multiple numbers and volumes from the very ashes. And of course, Blitz is even much stronger because we are the voice of Zion. Nefarious fascist like Adolf Hitler could not suffocate the voice of Zion through the Holocaust, 78 years back. From these, the enemies of humanity should learn – NO ONE CAN DEFEAT THE CHILDREN OF ZION.

We are calling upon the international community, especially the successors of Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, David Ben-Gurion, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to speak out at the top of their voice condemning evil actions of suffocating free speech and freedom of expression; as well, voices confronting radical Islam, jihad and religious bigotry.

We still are hoping, Bangladesh authorities will immediately unblock our online edition and if any vested quarters were behind such notoriety, there should be an investigation into the serious matter and stern actions should be taken against those perpetrators of such grave offence.

Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury is the editor of Blitz.
