PM Modi will participate in the joint commanders’ conference in Bhopal, will flag off Vande Bharat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bhopal on Friday, where he will participate in the Joint Commanders’ Conference and flag off the Vande Bharat Express train between Bhopal and New Delhi. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) gave this information in a statement on Thursday.

The PMO said that at around 10 am the Prime Minister will participate in the Combined Commanders’ Conference-2023 at Bhopal’s Kushabhau Thackeray Hall.

According to the statement, after this, at around 3.15 pm, the Prime Minister will flag off the Vande Bharat Express train between Bhopal and New Delhi at Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal. The three-day military commanders’ conference is being held from March 30 to April 1, 2023 on the theme “Prepare, Resurface, Relevant”.

During the conference, various issues related to national security including jointness in the armed forces will be discussed. The PMO said the conference will also review the preparedness of the armed forces and progress in the defense ecosystem towards a ‘self-reliant’ India.

Commanders of the three armed forces and senior officials of the Ministry of Defense will participate in the conference. Inclusive and informal interactions with soldiers, sailors and airmen from the Army, Navy and Air Force will also be held.

The PMO said that Vande Bharat Express has redefined the travel experience in the country. The new train being started between Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, Bhopal and New Delhi Railway Station will be the 11th Vande Bharat train of the country. The indigenously designed train set of Vande Bharat Express is equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities.

The PMO said that this train set will provide fast, comfortable and convenient travel experience to rail passengers and will boost tourism as well as accelerate economic development in the region.
