Popova: Russia, Iran, US and other countries will be able to supply gas through the Turkish hub

March 5 – BLiTZ. Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran may become gas suppliers through a hub in Turkey. Algeria, Qatar, the United States may become exporters of liquefied natural gas, according to analyst Yevgenia Popova.

Even last year, discussions began on the possibility of using the Turkish gas hub. After the explosions at Nord Stream, the Russian president said that the lost volume of transit could be moved to the Black Sea region. At Putin’s suggestion, the Turkish gas hub could be a platform for supplies to other countries, especially Europe.

Turkey, for its part, gave a positive reaction to Putin’s proposal. At the moment, experts have begun work in this direction.

The expert points out that the Turkish gas hub has every chance of becoming a gas distribution site for deliveries to the countries of Southern and South-Eastern Europe.
