Railway’s special train will run from Delhi to North East from March 21

Indian Railways will operate ‘Bharat Gaurav Train’ for the Northeast on 21 March. People will be able to visit the area through this train. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura and Meghalaya will be included in the 15-day journey, the Ministry of Railways said in a statement on Saturday.

The ministry said, “It has been decided to conduct the much awaited train excursion program “North East Discovery: Beyond Guwahati”. The journey of the train will start from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi on 21 March 2023.

A total of 156 tourists can travel in the state-of-the-art ‘Deluxe AC’ tourist train, the statement said. According to the Railways, the train will cover Guwahati, Sivasagar, Jorhat and Kaziranga in Assam, Unakoti, Agartala and Udaipur in Tripura, Dimapur and Kohima in Nagaland and Shillong and Cherrapunjee in Meghalaya in 15 days.

Tourists can also board or deboard this tourist train from Delhi, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi railway stations.
