Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov told the head of the Saudi Foreign Ministry about the actions to normalize relations between Turkey and Syria

March 9 – BLiTZ. Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, told his Saudi colleague Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud about Russia’s efforts to normalize relations between Syria and Turkey. It is reported by TASS.

“We talked about the situation in Syria, around it. We have common positions in favor of maintaining the unity, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of this country,” Lavrov said.

He noted that during the talks, the foreign ministers discussed the main tasks for a comprehensive settlement, information about the work of the Astana format, as well as strengthening actions to normalize relations between Syria and Turkey.

Lavrov also stressed that the talks discussed the need to increase attention to the humanitarian problems of the countries.
