Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday announced construction of a heritage road in freedom fighter Bhagat Singh’s village depicting the glorious contribution of Punjab and Punjabis in the national freedom struggle.
Mann said that an 850-metre long heritage road would be constructed from the existing museum to the ancestral home of Shaheed Bhagat Singh at Khatkar Kalan. Mann said that he has already instructed the tourism and culture department to speed up the project.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is duty-bound to fulfill the dreams of the great martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. “We all have to make strenuous efforts to make the dreams of the martyrs come true,” he said.
