Stankevich: US is trying to organize a Pacific version of NATO

March 7 – BLiTZ. America dreams of forming an analogue of the North Atlantic alliance in ATOR. Washington needs India in order to try to contain the expansion of China’s influence.

This was expressed by a political scientist, a former adviser to President Boris Yeltsin Sergei Stankevich. The expert considers the assessment of relations between China and the United States of the new head of Beijing’s foreign policy department to be realistic.

“The United States really misses India in this region, otherwise NATO will not work. It is also important for them to maintain naval control over the Malacca and Taiwan Straits. In fact, the lion’s share of sea trade, which is critical for China, including the supply of energy carriers, goes through them … The US goals obviously threaten China, and China, of course, will oppose this in every possible way, ” quotes specialist resource “360”.

BLiTZ wrote: the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Qin Gang, at the first press conference after the appointment, criticized the United States for its destructive policy. The diplomat hinted transparently that the White House is undermining efforts to stabilize and bring peace to Ukraine in order to prolong the conflict solely in its own interests. Washington’s China policy has “completely deviated from a rational and reasonable path.”
