Taking into account the major staffing crisis in other industries, the number of jobs in MITP resident companies has increased annually. Almost half of the country’s IT industry employees work in companies with foreign capital. Attracting international experts in the tech sector strengthens the status of the Republic of Moldova as a favorable destination for professionals in this field.
Programs such as the IT visa and legislative adjustments related to remote work support this direction and enhance the country’s reputation in the IT sphere, not to mention the IT Refugee program, launched to help companies and specialists from Ukraine to migrate and adjust more easily to the realities of Moldova.
Collaboration between the public and private sectors has also played a crucial role in supporting the growth of the IT industry in the Republic of Moldova. By creating a favorable framework for business development and attracting foreign investment, the government together with other strategic partners of MITP contribute to the transformation of Moldova into a technological hub in the region. This dynamic partnership has enabled the identification and addressing of critical issues that can influence IT competitiveness and innovation.
In just five years since its foundation, Moldova Innovation Technology Park has had a major impact on the entire local and even regional IT industry. As the main catalyst of the tech ecosystem, MITP organizes biannually the reference event for the tech community in the country, SUM IT UP. The evolution of MITP and that of the national economy from 2018 to the present, as well as the most important results recorded in 2022, argued by the success stories of the residents, will be the main topics of this edition of SUM IT UP 4 Impact.
In addition to discussions on the evolution and impact of MITP, the SUM IT UP 4 Impact edition will also provide a platform to explore new trends and opportunities in the industry.
