The family was shocked when a 4-year-old child of a laborer family living in Surat-Bhestan residence swallowed an iron bolt while playing. The relatives have brought the child to New Civil Hospital for treatment. The child has been admitted to E-2 ward. The bolt in the baby’s stomach is changing its position since morning, doctors are waiting for the bolt to pass naturally.
According to the information received from New Civil Hospital, Imran Sheikh is living with his family in Bhestan residence. He is survived by wife Najirben and three daughters and a son Nobhan (4 years). Imran Shaikh supports his family by doing Rangdari (colour work).
Nobhan’s maternal uncle was married yesterday at Bhestan residence. All the guests were in the house. They used to sort out the scattered things in the house on Tuesdays. At that time the iron bolt of the folding bed was lying down and while playing he swallowed the bolt. The family immediately took him to the New Civil Hospital for treatment.
Now he has been admitted to E-2 ward. In X-ray, the bolt in Nobhan’s stomach is changing its position. Doctors are advising the child to eat bananas and drink more water. The doctors are waiting for the bolus to pass naturally (through the toilet).
