Surat: 5 out of 6 packages of the ambitious Outer Ring Road near completion

The work of Outer Ring Road is in full swing around the city. Municipal Commissioner Shalini Agarwal on Wednesday 17.32 km. Visited the 13 kilometer long ring road built out of the 45 meter wide Outer Ring Road and the Tapi Bridge connecting Abrama-Valak. Most of the ongoing work in these 6 packages is nearing completion. The packages will be gradually opened as soon as the work is done. Except for Package-E, most of the work is expected to be completed in two-three months.

Package-1A- Variav Junction to Kosad 98%, Package-1B Bharthana Village to Abrama Road 98%, Package-1C Y Junction Garhpur Road to Sania Hemad 95%, Package-1D Sania Hemad to Kadodara Road 98%, Package-1 E Railway Over Bridge-Kosad-Bharthana, Fly Over-Valak to Kamrej Road, Underpass to Y Junction Garhpur 35%, Package-2 Tapi Bridge to Abrama Road-Valak Village 98% completed. From Abrama to Valak, 6-7 km from Tapi Bridge. The distance will be only 1.3 km.

Remaining 10.45 km estimate-tender will be done now

Remaining 10.45 kms. The estimated cost of the ring road is Rs 387 crore, which the municipal commissioner has instructed to complete the process of estimate and tender to start it soon.
