Incidents of mobile phone robbery and bike snatching have been happening in Surat for a long time. It has been seen in many cases that anti-social elements carry out incidents without any fear. It seems as if they have no fear of law.
One such incident came to light last night in Bhathena area of the city. Two artisans were sitting at a local tea stall taking sips of tea. Then a young man comes to the shop after parking his two-wheeler at a distance and approaches two artisans sitting on iron stools. One of the artisans is busy with his mobile when that young man comes near him and tries to snatch the mobile. When the artisan turns to the other side holding the mobile tightly, then the attempt of the robber fails. On this, the young man takes out a big knife and runs away waving it in the air in the style of attacking the artisan. He leaves from the spot sitting on his scooty.
<p>This whole incident gets captured in the CCTV camera installed there. After the incident, both the artisans look dazed. The person sitting in the tea shop can also be seen in shock. </p> <p>The police administration will have to make serious efforts to curb such incidents. The way criminals carry out such incidents and at the same time roam around with weapons like big knives, it is really a worrying aspect.</p>
