On the other hand, some stubborn cattle herders are still engaged in rescuing the cattle caught by beating the employees of the Municipal Corporation. Municipal officials have started the process of catching the cattle after the passers-by complained of a lot of trouble due to stray cattle in the Bhakti Nagar vegetable market of Kapodra area. In Bhaktinagar vegetable market, after cattle herders attacked the employees of Municipal Corporation and rescued the cattle, the employees lodged a complaint with the police.
The menace of stray animals is increasing day by day in Bhaktinagar vegetable market located in Kapodra area of Varachha zone of Surat Municipality. Following widespread complaints of stray cattle attacking passers-by in the area, the municipal administration on Monday launched a drive to catch stray cattle in the area. The three cattle were caught after the personnel, including SSI Jayant Parmar, reached the area with the cattle box. However, the atmosphere turned tense when two cattle rearers manhandled Jayant Parmar by holding his collar. On the other hand, when other employees intervened, both these animal herders escaped after releasing the cattle by threatening them.
Panic has spread among the employees after the incident of attack on the employees of the Municipal Corporation during the operation of catching cattle in the vegetable market. After this incident, the officials of the market department also reached the spot and the victim of the attack, SSI Jayant Parmar, reached the Kapodra police station and lodged a complaint with the police against the two herders who attacked them. At present, the police have started legal proceedings by registering a complaint against both these accused.
