A young woman was molested by a neighbor who was sleeping on the roof of a house in Surat’s Godadara area, after which the youth assaulted her. About which the girl gave information by calling 181 women’s helpline. Therefore, the women’s helpline team reached the spot and taught the young man a lesson. The young man promised not to do such an act again.
A written guarantee has been obtained and settled
A victim from Godadara area called 181 women’s helpline that she was molested by her neighbor and now he is fighting with the girl. The team of Katargam Abhayam reached the spot and caught the neighbor youth who was molesting. Thereafter an attempt was made to register an offense for this act. After which the young man requested ‘not to commit such a mistake again’. At that time the victim also asked the neighbor to give a chance and not to take any further action. In this case, the youth gave a written guarantee not to do so in future and an agreement was reached between the two parties.
Maliciously approached and molested in the night
The victim is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and has come to Surat in connection with employment for the last four years. The husband works as a security guard. Husband’s job is in night duty. The victim has two daughters. The victim told that she lives in a rented house. At night she slept on the terrace of the house with her daughters and the relative’s young daughter was also sleeping with her. Next to her, a young man living in the neighborhood came maliciously and molested the daughter by putting his hand on her waist. When she started crying loudly, the young man ran away. After the young man came in the morning and threatened her, the girl got scared. So informs Abhayam for help.
Neighbor admits mistake and apologizes
When Abhayam demanded police action on this act of the young man, the young man accepted his mistake. He then apologized and said that he would never do this again. The lady also did not want to take any further action and wanted to give him a chance to rectify. Therefore, a written guarantee was taken from the young man.
