To stop the increasing crime in the city, the police have put 108 accused behind bars in the month of March under the dice on 108 accused. This figure is of the dice processed in a month so far. Police is saying that this is the biggest operation ever. Congress leader Nighna Patel and deputy sarpanch of Karmala village have also been pushed into the dice during this month.

To reduce the crime graph, the police arrests the criminals, but in case of non-commitment of crime or in case of repeated such crimes against them, the police have started raising weapons of dice and tadipar.
Since 1985, the PASA Act came into force in Gujarat. Since then the Surat Police of Board is seen using it. Earlier only bootleggers involved in bootlegging and rioting were detained under PASA. Talking about the Surat police, in the first three months of this year, more than two hundred and fifty people have been pushed into various jails by the police under the dice. After which 83 accused were killed in January, 87 in February and 108 in March as compared to previous years.
In the month of March, Surat Police has made a record of 108 people to be diced in a month. 55 people caught in crimes like assault, riot, theft, falling in the category of most dangerous person, have been given dice.
He was arrested by the police in connection with the liquor case worth 7.75 lakhs seized from SMC residence in Piplod and later arrested after getting bail. The police also take similar action against usurers.
