Tasneem Khalil, who receives US$700,000 every year from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) for running a pro-Islamist website named Netra News is scheduled to visit the United Kingdom during first week of June to meet a number of dubious individuals, including convicted fugitive mini-boss of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and several leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami with the target of collecting fund for expediting anti-Bangladesh propaganda.

It may be mentioned here that, Tasneem Khalil has started massive propaganda against Bangladesh government’s decision of holding a free, fair and participatory general election in 2023 and use Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in order to ensure transparency and election free from any flaws. Although major democracies in the world, including India, the United States, Britain, EU nations etcetera are using EVM during every elections, Tasneem Khalil and several pro-Islamist and anti-Bangladesh elements are now making frantic bids in creating doubts about EVM machines clearly with the ulterior agenda of misleading Bangladeshi people about the 2023 general elections.

Meanwhile, another anti-Bangladesh individual named Shahidul Alam, who made foul attempt of unseating the Awami League government in 2018 by using school and college students has resurfaced in the nasty game alongside Tasneem Khalil and few other notorious individuals namely Zulkarnain Saer Khan (Sami), Kanak Sarwar, Shahidul Islam, and Hasinur Rahman.

Shahidul Alam has recently launched a website named ‘Drik News’, which is gradually becoming a propaganda machine running vile propaganda against Bangladesh government and praiseworthy development projects of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. BNP-Jamaat inclined journalists are regularly contributing in this website using pseudonyms.

According to a credible source, Shahidul Alam has been maintaining regular contact with Hasinur Rahman and the duo is working on a dangerous conspiracy of using Rohingyas against Bangladesh government. Hasinur Rahman works for Pakistani spy agency Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI).

The source further said, as per advice of Shahidul Alam, ISI agent Hasinur Rahman is secretly collecting mini-interviews of targeted Rohingyas in Bangladesh, including leaders of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), which would be used in a documentary film Shahidul Alam is making for Qatar-based terror-broadcast network Al Jazeera.

Sitting in his Dhaka residence, Hasinur Rahman has been maintaining regular communication with Shahidul Alam alongside few other dubious individuals such as Shahidul Islam in Canada, including members of Islamist terrorist groups such as Hizbul Mujahedin, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh (now renamed as Ansar Al Islam as a franchise of Al Qaeda), Hizbut Tahrir, and ARSA, mostly through Signal and Telegram apps. Hasinur receives fund from Pakistani ISI and other sources mostly through two of his relatives.

London mission of Tasneem Khalil

According to information, during his forthcoming trip to the United Kingdom, Tasneem Khalil is scheduled to hold secret meetings with a large number of individuals, including Tarique Rahman, the fugitive mini-boss of BNP. Key agenda of Tasneem’s meeting with Tarique is to collect fund for running massive propaganda in the US and other Western countries centering Bangladesh’s 2023 general elections. Tarique Rahman is looking for “pressure” from the American and western nations on Bangladesh authorities for allowing him and his mother Khaleda Zia (serving rigorous imprisonment in corruption case and another case for embezzlement of an orphanage project fund) during the 2023 general elections.

Another agenda of Tarique Rahman is to expedite the anti-Awami League propaganda in the western nations through lobbyists appointed by Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Jamaat-e-Islami. In this case, Tarique also considers individuals like Tasneem Khalil as “effective sources”, where the later would also use his Al Jazeera connections towards anti-Awami League propaganda.
